Giovanni Magnaghi is the new Chief Executive Officer of Zambon SpA

Bresso, Italy, May 2 nd 2024 - Today, the Board of Directors of Zambon SpA appointed Giovanni Magnaghi as Chief Executive Officer to lead the company in the execution of its strategic plan, based on the strengthening of Zambon’s global brands and the development of new therapeutic solutions in the area of severe respiratory diseases - BOS (Bronchiolitis Obliterans Syndrome), NCFB (Non-Cystic Fibrosis Bronchiectasis) - and in the CNS (Central Nervous System) area.

Giovanni Magnaghi, who joined Zambon in 2018 as Group Chief Financial Officer, has created the conditions to achieve successful milestones not only in the finance area, but also through his decisive role in establishing and developing Zambon Biotech, focused on building a scientifically robust and commercially viable medium to long-term portfolio of innovative medicines.

Previously, he worked at Gilead Sciences where, in addition to his role as VP Finance EMEA, he was General Manager giving his contribution to the launch and negotiation of several high-profile drugs globally. His experience also includes positions at Gillette Group, Bausch & Lomb, Henry Schein.

Elena Zambon, president of Zambon Spa, commented: “Giovanni Magnaghi, thanks to his skills and leadership, together with the entire Executive Management Committee, will be able to define and execute launches in the near future both in the Countries where we already operate and in the US, as well as accelerate the consolidation and growth of our proprietary brands.
