Open Accelerator program
Open Accelerator is the international acceleration program dedicated to startups operating in the Life Science field.
What is Open Accelerator?
Created in 2016 by Zcube, Zambon Research Venture, Open Accelerator has grown over the years by expanding its reach and extending the call internationally as early as the second edition. Open Accelerator is continuously looking for innovators whose digital solutions will be the defining force in the future of healthcare through the adoption of cutting-edge technologies.
In 2024, the program will focus on the femtech sector and will feature a new format. The initiative invites startups and entrepreneurial ideas aimed at developing products and services to address major medical needs and improve women's health and well-being. The targeted therapeutic areas include gynecology, cardiovascular health, oncology, sexual health, endocrinology, gastroenterology, nutrition, autoimmune disorders, mental health, neurology, reproductive health, and more.
At the end of the selection process, up to 5 startups will be identified to receive an investment of €100,000 each, through a SAFE (Simple Agreement for Future Equity) agreement and will have access to a training and mentoring program delivered by experts in the fields of investments, business development, venture capital, intellectual property, regulatory affairs, and market access.
In past editions, the program has gathered more than 200 applications from startups in 23 different countries. 46 teams participated in the acceleration track and 8 were awarded seed investment of up to €100,000.
