Open Accelerator

Open Accelerator is the international acceleration program dedicated to startups operating in the Life Science field.

What is Open Accelerator?

Created in 2016 and sponsored by ZCube, Zambon Research Venture, Open Accelerator has grown over the years, extending its scope of operation and its call for projects to the international level ever since its second edition.

Open Accelerator is looking for the world’s leading innovators whose digital solutions are shaping the future of health, thanks to the adoption of cutting-edge technologies (ie: wearables, biomarkers, advanced analytics, AI etc.). OA seeks to identify projects and startups that are creating transformative patient experiences along the entire patient journey from healthy living, to awareness and engagement, prevention, diagnosis, disease management and follow-up phase.

In the previous three editions 202 projects were submitted coming from 20 Countries in the World. 28 startups took part in the acceleration program, 7 of which were awarded with seed investments of up to € 100,000.

By participating in the OA program most promising entrepreneurs have the access to a wide international network of entrepreneurs, scientists, investors, venture capitalists (VCs), and professionals. Additionally, any synergies with Zambon partner companies will be evaluated as element of the acceleration as well.

The 2020 Call for Solutions opened on May 18 and will be running until July 20. The 4-week acceleration journey whose estimated value is around € 25,000, consists of personalized online sessions and on-site sessions that will take place in OpenZone.
